A stalled health app, taken over and shipped.

Provide Digital needed eC-Card finished and trusted by the public. We took over the build mid-flight, fixed what was broken, delivered the features that had waited more than a year and launched it on Android and iOS.

The situation

The previous agency could not land it.

eC-Card lets young people collect free condoms and sexual health resources discreetly. They download the app, complete short videos and a quiz, find a nearby collection point on a map and scan a QR code to collect. Services run it for their area, with admin portals to manage venues, stock, users, education and notifications.

The first agency on the project was not delivering on time or on budget. The client lost confidence and ended the contract, and the build was handed to us. That was not a cold introduction: we were already delivering other projects for Provide Digital, so they knew how we work and trusted us to take it on.

How we took it over

From handover to both app stores.

  1. 1

    Handover

We took over the code, the backlog and the open problems from the previous agency.

  2. 2

    Fix

We fixed what was broken first: bugs, security gaps and rough edges in the admin portals.

  3. 3

    Deliver

We built the features that had been waiting, including multi-language and accessibility support.

  4. 4

    Launch

The app went live on Google Play and the Apple App Store, with the client back in control.

An admin portal that runs the service.

Services use the portal to manage users, venues, stock, education and reports, and to set the rules each service runs by. Screens are blurred to protect test data.

The member app

A member app built to be discreet.
